to the fourth power.

um. sick.
all four fantastic members smashed into one giant munny. i love that it strongly represents each individual, with added depth from the comic panels, but also stands tall as a unified figure. that is no small task. usually things work as one or the other. that's a superpower in itself.

oh, the big boy (20") is still available for sale...
viseone knocked it out. go tell him you think so.

the unstoppable ink flow.

the man with the golden black pen has been rabidly busy since we last checked in. mr. jonpaulkaiser has taken great strides with his simple color palette, while being completely true to his style. every new piece is a little more refined and a lot more awesome. especially now that he's popped his cherry on some serious pieces of vinyl. there's no room for timid hands when you take a marker to a jaws/paws sculpt. there are few people i would trust with that freedom, and jpk is high on the list.

wrestles with the pain & fury.
i'll see your bald head and raise you a mustache.
huzzah!

he once killed three men and a horse with a single bitch slap.

panda murdering demon boy.
what's with all the giant hands?
don't look him in the eye or he'll turn your pants to shit.

perfectly demented and yet
can't find evil gloves or evil boots to save his life.

roasted by solo.
the only bounty hunter with eyes like a my little pony.

and the han still stands.
the empire will let in any ole nerfherder these days.
[silently wishing there were real stormtroopers]

boba. with trophy krayt dragon skull.
...moments after he escaped the sarlacc.
smelling strongly of gamorrean ball sweat.

ram-man and a tiny spartan hoplite.
helmets for he-man and hera.

warrior pandaimyo.
must have fallen asleep with his coffee mug on this chest.

artist spotlight: [ jason freeny ]

we all have guts on the inside. some of us have guts on the outside. [zombies] and thanks to the magic hand of jason freeny, we get to see both. for the past few months, i've been following his incredible sculpts, but never got around to posting them. then the jaws build started appearing... my god is it amazing. jason's smooth, defined style perfectly complements the coarse aesthetic.

but what's really amazing is the amount of work that he puts in to every detail. it's a wicked combination of skill and dedication that makes his pieces so jaw dropping. [npi] i love that his clay is raw. with no paint to hide his mistakes, anything less than perfection would be horribly distracting. he's also clearly got a keen eye for anatomy. there aren't exactly reference books lying around that focus on carebear skeletons. dude's amazing, simple as that.

50% skinned and still standing. and now the shark's a hat.
victory goes to noop.

eviscerated. then viscerated?

we can rebuild him. we have the technology.

teach your children about anatomy. and night terrors!

you can catch all of his new builds here. because he's cool like that.
so cool that he made this video of the magic behind the curtain. rock on.

s-words.

seven samurai. exquisitely captured by the always sharp jon paul kaiser. that is one classy clan of munnys. brilliant job of giving each little dude his own unique expression and flavor.

peel back the curtain.

you cruise by in your pink go-cart every day. completely oblivious to the wormhole that lives behind the industrial facade. all it takes is one curious soul to find the zipper pull and whoosh. nothingness.

this mega munny is perfection. painted by adam haynes as a fundraiser for gallatin valley skatepark. it's up for auction right now with a pile of other munnys. this one takes the cake though. incredible detail, rough neglected subject matter and a nice overall balance to the image vs. the figure. you rock adam. and i want this.

if you burp hard enough, you could rip your face. just saying.

middle school chicks dig the go-cart.
too bad he's not a middle school dude.

all those ripe lines and not one shittin pigeon...
something isn't right here.

you can make this yours. the bid is currently floating at $810.
you've got until friday. snatch it.
i was tipped off to this killer piece by spankystokes.

visceral leakage.

busy week at work for me, means slow week in the land of frost. but these could not go unmentioned. coolvader just destroyed these two customs. ripped their skin from their bones and exposed the delicate inside bits. i love seeing the adapted anatomy of an imaginary beast, especially when it's done in such an intricate and beautiful way like this. coolvader's always rock. i dub thee, the doctor of dissection.

dissected king ken
half skinned, but the most disturbing part is that thumb...
what the hell kind of joint is that?

he was learning to teleport, one organ at a time.
too bad the power went out halfway through the skin.

mega mega munny
those definitely aren't quads. i guess munnys have octs...

it's the supremest of delicacies to eat the tentacled monster
who has just skinned you alive.

i'm a lebowski, you're a lebowski...

the smell of smoke in the air. salt, beer and lane oil on your hands... sounds like a friday. and the dude. and walter. lovingly sculpted over
a pair of munnys by task one. you nailed it.

fuck it dude, let's go bowling.

donny, you're out of your element!
[actually he's in the can]

eight-year-olds dude...

i'm only hue-man.

when i was a kid, i was obsessed with colors. especially combos of colors. every time a new combo became popular [teal & purple...]
i thought that it was the coolest pairing you could ever have, and that it would always look awesome. clearly that was grade school logic,
but my love for colors never stopped. the same thing happened with neons, even more so when matched with black.

i had a killer skateboard with a neon pirate on the bottom that i thought was the raddest thing ever. too bad i didn't think actually riding it was rad too. nevertheless, neons and the funky ass 80s color combos take me back.

cpassak from gangtoyz gave me a childhood bitchslap this morning when i stumbled on to his wicked creations. electric blue skin, gnarly teeth and exposed skeletons... somebody find my checkerboard vans... where's my hang ten gear? the frenchman has some serious talent and he's clearly not afraid to use it. if i ever make it back to france, you're getting a high-five.

this is a plush from awesometown.
michael jackson moves and a pink loafer.
he must be in the mob.

i'm gonna go play some battletoads and eat a box of fruit snacks.

mr. t! i want the rest of the a-team here now...
so they can build me a bmx jump out of bricks and plywood.
and i can then break my face.

i thought we were knee deep in my childhood...
sprinkle a little g.i. joe on top...
and now we can't even touch the bottom.
i always wanted to grow up to be snake eyes. for real.

bonus time:
you can purchase a lot of these guys for your very own.
itableau has them for sale.

artist spotlight: [ scribe ]

scribe's an insanely talented graff artist from barbeque town. (kc) the cartoon mind explosion of his work is just nonstop. every inch is blasted with character, emotion and life. stepping inside this man's imagination must be like riding on the tilt-a-whirl until you puke, and then eating a shitload of cotton candy.

one of his latest carnival attractions is what really caught my eye. johnny booker the munny cop is just a brilliantly done character. the fluffy mustache, unbuttoned shirt, the gnawed on cigar and that crunchy donut just work. he's equal parts strung-out and tough as nails.

he must buy eyedrops by the case.
look at that corneal shine.

5 bucks says my mop smells better than his stache.

stitch gets superfied.
drunk on cheese wine and ready to rumble.
who let red sauce here off his chain? dumb.

ledbetter smashed
our national bird lost his legs in a brutal fight.
but you should see the economy...

horselington gets rhinoed
tell me you don't love a grimacing sword.

since the man started with billion color walls,
i thought it important that you get a taste.
wild hare phil.
the deadliest and only hamster assasin.

i didn't know lemmy made honey.

available for parties...
bunny ass blasters.

have you guys heard the new animal collective?
...change your life. i swear. no really. where you going? guys?

ahhh, puberty.

you can keep up with some of scribe's work on his infrequently updated site here. and on his more frequently updated site here. but don't bother trying to catch em all. he's basically a machine. pay your two tickets, sit back and enjoy the ride.

lost in the woods of michigan.

64colors of sharp crisp crayons on a friday afternoon. could anything else be better? 64colors is actually a talented duo from here in the great white north, although i'm guessing their name is an allusion to the big box of 64. laura and eric had a big year with the release of marshall mashumaro; fathered by the terrific triumvirate of squibbles ink, rotofugi and 64colors.

the wilderness wünderkids are quite talented character designers and as evidenced below, pretty handy with a paintbrush. their most recent conquest was 20" of mega munny.

porcelain face and a maple-hard ass.

flaming monkey horns. i like the sound of that.

not content to leave mischievous marshall alone, 64colors has started customizing and selling the little nugget. some are still available in their shop.

the river runts
half vampire gourd, half booger.

marshall monsters
this is why lucha libres wear masks.

stumps.
you can count their rings to see how many children they've mauled.

stay tuned as i'm sure they'll continue to blow minds this year with even more hidden creatures and woodgrained midgets.

no jekyll.

just hyde.
usually content to explode some color on a wall, hyde has dipped his toes into the vinyl world. and naturally, he killed it. you can see the years of work he's put in to get his shit as tight as possible. the layering of patterns and the kaleidoscope of color will literally freeze you in your tracks.

my gamorrean uncle pauly.
this my train.

munny skull > real skull.
that is hard to do.
tenochtitlan here has some skills.

perhaps he was sacrificed on an incan temple in a previous life.
perhaps he's just a visionary.

these dudes get all the hottest skeleton girls in hell.

popping up for the random custom show isn't going to be enough to satisfy the drooling hordes once his work gets a little airtime. i hope you're ready for the onslaught. follow his flickr for the latest.

terraforming munnyworld.

[ file this under: things i wish were mine ]

how big do you have to get before aliens start crop circling your face?
18" apparently. a sneak peek at tristan eaton's megamunny for this year's munnyworld, from vpeast.

the takeover has begun.

i want to move to a country that can move.

wow. just wow.
which one is the button to access the hidden city inside?

stowaway or the brains behind it all?

tristan eaton: former resident of the D and designer of the dunny.
completely killed it on this monstrosity. the graphic / landscape combo worked to perfection. i'd love to see a cross-section of what the
inside of the head would look like. underground water tables and a molten core?

munnyworld opens november 13th in nyc.
