way down under.

the teeth bones connect to the murder bones.

part velociraptor, part kangaroo, part down-syndrome baby, this yoka is clearly from another plane. brent nolasco is the mad genius behind it, surprise surprise. an incredible transformation from a cute dumpy bear to a lithe savage demon.

eats only spinal cords and achilles tendons.
that's why he's got those jumping legs.

painted with the blood of keebler elves.

this is why you always check your shoes when hiking.

this mean little bastard was on display at dcon this last weekend.
i wonder who the lucky new owner is. too bad it's not me.

artist spotlight: [ motorbot ]

the man behind the curtain could not have chosen a more fitting name. just fill with fuel [coffee, redbull... insert drug of choice here] and stand back. motorbot has been pumping out top quality customs for some time now. his seemingly tireless work ethic is only trumped by his wide range of abilities. there may not be a more versatile customizer on the planet.

deep in the heart of texas, the motor is always running strong.
bone, metal, wood, muscle.
he's the captain planet of elemental techniques.

the godfather would have been so much better
if the horse's head had a skinned gnome strapped to its base.
real men wear armored skirts with their ferragamos

metal horse head from hell?
looks like the little man is auditioning for gwar.

what's with the sour face?
nothing better than a midget skull that can chase you.

if the neth entered the matrix
retro krang still loves turtle soup

my childhood collides into my adulthood and a companion is born.
destro's going on the barry gibb talk show
to pimp his crazy cool medallion.

this bulldog of a maw ate a mutt
a rhinos butthole is terrifying
even when it doesn't have 30 rows of teeth.

the stitch disney hides in the basement to "handle" lost children
who doesn't love a cuddly woodchipper?

the paw with brass knuckles
when easter met bike week.

crappy cat goes to prep school
...and bangs every cheerleader they have

madl-tie-fighter-pilot-sweet
he eats the force for breakfast.

i might be possessed with star wars
if looks could kill... vader'd be two uzis

mummy only needs his cleopatra
you know the egyptians invented atari right?

the yoka king of testicles with teeth
he laughs at his own lack of a throat

the armored sug arrives home. after months of training and rehabilitation, the raw mutant is strong enough to walk outside. he is fantastic in person. a roughed up titanium shell with freshly skinned appendages, he's not to be fucked with.
surveying his scorched kingdom

he's not so good at winking

walking on raw muscle's gotta hurt, maybe i'll get him a flip flop

awkward as two middle schoolers at their first dance

thanks to the motor for a fantastic piece in my collection. he will watch intensely over his haz-mat suited brethren. i have dubbed him "iron fist." his cauldron of a potbelly will be a centerpiece for years to come.

this is just barely scratching the surface of what the motor has burned out. you have to check his flickr to really see the depth of what he's accomplished. don't lean over too far though, it's a deep chasm. the man has mentioned slowing down his custom projects to focus on some more of his own originals. so if you want in the club, you better do it soon.

for the latest on all his fury, follow him on twitter. seriously. you get sneak peeks at stuff like a custom muscamoot...

all pics are from the man himself. except for the armored sug, those are mine.

artist spotlight: [ chris ryniak ]

chris ryniak will destroy you. or at least your mind.
this man has built quite a name for himself with his
nightmare fuel paintings.
but here i want to focus on only his custom vinyl.
which will also destroy you.

nothing is safe when he gets his hands on it.
piercing glares, corroded teeth, orifices, bone stubs and scars...
all add up to something quite beautifully disturbing.

hi-fructose did a fantastic interview
with chris about his sculpture process.
make sure you read it as well.
you know, since they actually spoke to him.

this was a gosho until someone fed it after midnight.
how can you go wrong with tiny tusks and a skin mask?
get me a spoon. that stew looks killer.

this slice of skin is actually a plush
and is not actually stuffed with children's nail clippings.
i hope.

a yoka from the other side.
those nubby clubs look naked without a thick sheen of fresh viscera...

stony bone growth and a butthole? you win mr. ryniak.

a tastier pic of the yoka's disease and rhino skin.

smile. you now won't sleep for a week.

chris doesn't do too many customs, but makes up for it by absolutely killing it every time. if you happen to be lucky enough to own one of his pieces. consider yourself awesome.

the stance of a champion.

lucky for all of us, chris has begun to explore the world of multiple figures. he's already released muscamoot, which I showed earlier and right above. if you don't have one of these little choads, don't fret. there are more colorways coming. the next drops at sdcc.

and now he's got a collaboration piece
in the works with jonathan bergeron...
at the gardens of misfortune show this month.

the turd has tentacles!

it's getting good.
good thing you know.

all the sticky pics of chris' customs courtesy of his flickr.
his paintings are here.
his thoughts are here.
visit them.

so there's this fantastic magazine named clutter based out of the UK. they are currently sponsoring a design competition in collab with adfunture. [adfunture manufactures the yoka] [the red and yellow bears below are yokas] [the badass above is my entry]
i entered this competition a few months ago and managed to get enough votes to make it to the finals. my little beast is now going against some serious competition.... go to the link below to check out all the finalists. i'll be asking for your vote later.

tip: click on the individual images of the finalists to see a 360 of the design.
